How to improve: 677-678: Espurr-Meowstic




1.Stats: Should Meowstic get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Logically, with Espurr's 355 BST, Meowstic should have around 525 BST, but instead has 466 BST, about 60 BST less than it should be. If this is granted, or even a +30 BST is given to match early Fossil Pokémon, Meowstic's BST might become fitting, but as of now it is a complete joke even by its own standards.

Ignoring that, Meowstic's low BST is similar to that of a middle stage, so an evolution can easily work, particularly one that exploits its bounded Psychic energy. No catmon has had three stages so far besides Luxray, however. Retroactively, if it is meant to be a terrible species, Espurr's high BST can be circumvented with a pre-evolution to Espurr.

A Mega simply cannot work.

2.Should Meowstic get more abilities?

Meowstic's only notable abilities are their HAs, Prankster and Competitive. Infiltrator is okay but mediocre, and Keen Eye is just terrible despite the buff.

                                                                                                                                          Fairy and Normal are the most obvious ones. Ghost, Fighting, Dark are the less obvious ones. Electric is the least likeliest.
